Honor Guard

CWV Post 1306 Honor Guard is shown above, rendering a “volley of shot”, honoring the Confederate Soldiers of America who are buried at Accomack, York County, Pennsylvania.  These Civil War Soldiers, many of whom are “unknown”, were interned along the Susquehanna River north of Wrightsville, PA in June of 1863 following the skirmishes during the burning of the Columbia-Wrightsville covered Bridge.  The furtherest advance of the Confederacy into Union territory
